Give your breasts a shape and size in proportion to your body, and find relief from the weight and the pain.
Overview
Breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) is a highly important surgical procedure in which part of the breast tissue is removed. The purpose of the procedure is not only aesthetic enhancement, but primarily functional restoration, giving the woman a breast that is light, lifted and symmetrical with her body type. It is a surgery that helps women relieve the physical problems caused by excessive size, while boosting their confidence.
WHAT WE CORRECT
The procedure offers substantial relief and improves the woman's quality of life. It provides real benefits in the following cases:
Effectively reduces neck, back and shoulder pain caused by the weight of the breasts.
Helps correct body posture and significantly improves sleep quality.
Relieves the persistent irritation and chafing that occurs beneath and between the breasts.
Restores the nipples to their correct anatomical position and direction, giving a youthful look.
Beauty by Design
Breast reduction relieves the physical discomfort of overly large breasts while creating a proportionate, natural silhouette.
Preparation before the procedure
Before surgery, a consultation takes place in which the patient expresses her wishes regarding the size and shape of the breast she would like after the procedure. The surgery is preceded by a comprehensive preoperative assessment with tests indicated by the plastic surgeon. It is essential to inform the doctor of any allergies or medications being taken. For the safety of the anaesthesia, the patient must be fasting on the day of surgery. It is also advisable to avoid smoking and alcohol in the preceding period.
TECHNIQUE
The procedure is always performed under general anaesthesia.
The incisions are planned based on the individual characteristics of the breast. They may be made:
The surgeon removes the excess glandular tissue, fat and skin. The breast is reshaped and reduced in size, while simultaneously being lifted together with the nipple.
The incisions are carefully closed with fine sutures. A special dressing or compression bra is applied to stabilise the new shape.

AFTER SURGERY
The recovery period is described as smooth by the majority of patients. The plastic surgeon will provide detailed instructions for this period, the most important of which are as follows:
The patient wears a special compression bra for at least 2 weeks, followed by a sports bra. The use of an underwire bra is strictly prohibited for at least 4 weeks.
Showering is normally permitted 2 days after surgery.
Return to work is estimated at approximately 15 days after the procedure.
The patient may drive normally and immediately resume simple, everyday activities without exertion.
There is a low risk of delayed healing, haematoma, infection (risks that increase with smoking), or minor asymmetry between the two breasts. Choosing an experienced and specialised plastic surgeon is decisive.
Results
Representative breast reduction cases. Results are always assessed in the context of anatomy, proportions and each patient's goals.
FAQ
The plastic surgeon's goal is to create two smaller, lighter and symmetrical breasts, in a size that will harmonise naturally and proportionately with the rest of the body.
Yes. Breast reduction typically delivers a double result: the breast becomes smaller and more functional, while at the same time the entire breast — including the nipple — is lifted to a better position.
Discuss your needs, goals and available options with the doctor, so that a safe and personalised treatment plan can be designed.
Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed. Suitability for any treatment is determined by the doctor after a personal consultation.
