BOOK AN APPOINTMENTBody Surgery
The procedure that restores architectural harmony to the lower body, correcting laxity and sculpting a smooth, youthful contour.
What It Is – What It Offers
A thigh lift is a specialised surgical procedure in which excess skin and fat are removed from the thigh area. The goal of the procedure is to address the laxity that develops in the upper legs (inner and outer), whether due to natural build, ageing, or after significant weight loss — cases where exercise alone is not enough. A thigh lift offers a solution, restoring firmness and aesthetic balance.
What We Correct
The procedure reshapes the leg area. More specifically, a thigh lift helps with the following:
Removes the troublesome excess skin on the inner and/or outer thigh surface, which distorts the silhouette.
Tightens and lifts the skin, delivering a visibly smoother, firmer and more youthful skin surface.
Reshapes legs that present both fat accumulation and loose skin, through combined liposuction.
Restores overall symmetry and smoothness of the lines between the two thighs for a natural result.
Beauty by Design
Thigh lift removes excess skin and tightens tissue for a firmer, more contoured lower body.
Preparation before surgery
The first and most important step is a personal consultation with Dr. Athanasios Pallantzas. During the appointment, a detailed clinical assessment of the leg anatomy is carried out, the skin quality is evaluated and the appropriate surgical approach is determined. Preparation for surgery includes a full pre-operative assessment, a recommendation to stop smoking and adjustment of any medication (if required). On the day of surgery, the patient must be fasting.
TECHNIQUE
While the patient is standing, Dr. Pallantzas maps out the incision lines with careful geometric precision and calculates the excess skin that must be removed. Marking in the standing position is fundamental, as gravity changes the position of the tissues and only in this way can good post-operative symmetry be pursued. General anaesthesia follows.
The position of the incisions depends on the extent of the problem:
Mild laxity (Mini lift): The incision is limited to a horizontal line in the groin crease, so that it is usually concealed within underwear or a swimsuit.
Significant skin laxity: The incision extends vertically along the inner surface of the thigh (towards the knee). The doctor positions the incision strategically on the least visible anatomical line so that it is not apparent in everyday life.
Where required, liposuction is performed first to sculpt the subcutaneous fat. The excess loose skin is then removed with millimetre precision, and the underlying tissues are anchored with deep sutures for stability.
The incisions are carefully closed using advanced intradermal suture techniques (with absorbable sutures) to improve the future scar. A specialised compression dressing is applied at the end.

AFTER SURGERY
Wearing a specialised elastic garment is mandatory for 6 weeks in order to stabilise the tissues and reduce swelling.
Rest is required for approximately 15 days. To improve scarring, massage with silicone gel is recommended.
Swelling, bruising and a sensation of tightness are normal and gradually subside over a few weeks.
Intense physical exercise should be avoided for at least 1 month.
Results
Representative thigh lift results. Each outcome is individualised based on anatomy, degree of laxity and patient wishes.
FAQ
Yes, the results are usually long-lasting, provided that the patient maintains a balanced diet, exercises regularly and avoids sudden fluctuations in body weight.
No. A thigh lift is not a weight-loss method. The patient must first lose weight, reach a point close to the desired result and maintain a stable weight for at least 6 months before surgery.
Age is not a restriction. As long as the patient is an adult, has good general health and presents with skin laxity, they can proceed with the procedure.
Discuss your needs, goals and available options with the doctor, so that a safe and individualised plan can be shaped.
Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed. Suitability for any treatment is determined by the doctor after a personal consultation.
