Abdominoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen. The intended goal is to improve the shape and appearance of the abdomen.
Procedure
The plastic surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and restores muscles. This procedure can be combined with other procedures, such as a breast lift and/or an augmentation and a liposuction. This is a very common combination of a post-pregnancy body reconstruction procedure, also known internationally as the “Mommy Makeover”.
Goals
• Remove the excess abdominal skin
• Restore weakened or/and separated muscles
• Reshape waist
Incision
A horizontal incision is made in the area between the pubic line and bellybutton. Incision is hidden in most underwear or swimwear. Its exact shape and length is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the excess skin of the body. In some cases, a second incision around the navel may be necessary, to remove the excess skin of the upper abdomen.
Cost
The cost is estimated on a case-by-case basis.

FAQ
When can I choose to have liposuction and when abdominoplasty?
When there is no sagging of the skin and the abdominal muscles are in good condition and we are dealing with persisting abdominal fat, we choose liposuction, both in front and side abdominal areas.
Abdominoplasty is recommended in cases where the saggy skin of the abdominal is sufficient and the abdominal muscles cannot maintain their tone.
Can I get pregnant after abdominoplasty?
Yes. Pregnancy is allowed 1 year after surgery.
